“Inspired by ancient Egyptian mythology, a young East Yorkshire artist is dazzling visitors at a London art gallery with her photographs.

Two hundred and twenty miles away, in Molescroft near Beverley, the family of 21-year-old Briony Latter are beaming with pride after their daughter’s designs were put on display in the capital.

She said: “The work I am exhibiting explores ancient Egyptian mythology and I have created scenes inspired by some of the myths I have found.”

Her ancient Egyptian themed photographs will be shown at the Free Range Exhibition at The Old Truman Brewery venue in Brick Lane, London. The exhibition is famous for giving graduates across the country the chance to showcase their work to the public and to the industry and Briony’s work goes on display from today until Monday” – via This is Hull and East Riding.
